Hamylnn Health Christmas Lunch

This time of year seems to come around to fast.......but when it involves good food, and a glass of wine, well I can hardly complain.

This year it was decided that we (the therapists working at Hamylnn Health) would all go to Le Langhe in York. I had never been there before, but Ed Jowitt (physio) recommended it, and it had a good write up, so we booked a table for 1:30 in the afternoon. In the end there were 4 of us from Hamylnn Health, and only Phil (the chiropracter) was unable to join us.

So wondering in through the door, at almost precisely 1:30 was myself, Ed, Gill (reflexologist) and Lynn (clinic owner and fellow remedial massage therapist). The first thing that struck me was the wonderful aroma of cheeses that bombards your taste and smell senses all at once. Looking around, it was clear to see why. They have a large cheese counter by the door - selling all the sorts of cheeses that you would never find in your local supermarket, but each one a speciality in its own right. Behind the cheese counter you can also see a range of meats, salamis and prosciutto hams (or at least ones that look like them..... ).

We were shown upstairs straight away, and got seated right next to the dessert table (and for a dessert fan, this was a definate plus). The menu that they have is well stocked, although it appears, at first, to lack much in the way of detail. Things like "Meat main", or "Game main" were on the menu without any explanation as to what they were. All was made clear when the waitress came round to the table, and rattled of a number of different soups, meat dishes and the such.

Being a red meat lover I ordered the deer, and I can honestly say that it was GORGEOUS! Well cooked, succulent, and full of flavour. What could have been better for a Christmas meal? This was promptly rounded off with a lovely chocolate tart, and an Americano coffee.

First Blog

Welcome everyone, and thank you for visiting my blog. I am very new at this, so please forgive me if it takes a little while to get into the swing of things.
I suppose I should start off with saying a little about why I have started this blog. I wanted a space where I could update people with current information on any deals that we have going, events that we are planning on attending and to give people a space to find out a little more about what we are all about.

So, I suppose I should start off with letting everyone know that I have a website coming soon, and (fingers crossed) it should be live before Christmas, so watch this space and I will shout when its live!

It has all the details on what we do, what Remedial Massage is all about, and where we are. Of course, if you cant wait, then please by all means drop me a line (my email is in my profile) and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability.
